ABOUT X30 ASIA CUP IN SRILANKA

The X30 is a concept IAME started developing in 2005, with the launch of the X30 125cc engine on the French market. From those days to nowadays the X30 project has grown to an unimaginable magnitude. Beside a full engines range destined to stock class series, the X30 is now a full racing program with more than 25 countries running an X30 Challenge, either at Federative or at private level, with a class structure covering all ages from 8 years and above, 6 different engine models in the range, two International events and several Continental events, the X30 World is one of the most diffused and successful Racing concepts in the Karting scenario. Thanks to stable and strong regulations and a standard model adopted by each country racing in an X30 series, the X30 World is a globally diffused project that guarantees success to all organizers and National Federations.

The stability in the engines production, only minor changes applied to the engines from year to year, and the possibility to race any chassis brand, are the keys of the success of the IAME concept. Last but not least, the prize pool IAME provides to each X30 Challenge and each X30 main event contribute to complete a very satisfactory offer.

The X30 Asia Cup has 4 major racing categories which are as follows;

  1. Cadet – Age 8 to 12 years
  2. Junior – Age 12 to 14  years
  3. Senior – Age 14 to 30 years
  4. Masters/Veterans – Age 30 years and above
  5. Masters/Veterans – Age 30 years and above
ABOUT X30

2015 TO 2017 – UNPRECEDENTED GROWTH

X30 was first organised in Singapore in 2015 to great success. In that year, a record breaking 92 drivers from 11 countries competed in the final round. In 2016, X30 made headlines again – after gaining official recognition from world motorsports governing body CIK-FIA, it became Singapore’s first ever internationally sanctioned karting race. 344 entries were received over the course of 5 rounds.

Over the past 2 years, X30 races have been held in Singapore and Malaysia, with plans to expand to Thailand (December 2017 and 2018). In the years since its inception, X30 has enjoyed significant news coverage on print and digital media, as well as television and radio broadcasts. The organising team is passionate about karting and is determined to elevate the status of the sport, as well as the level of competition in the region.

NURTURING TALENT

X30 SEA has provided a platform for drivers to gain experience and improve their competition level. Drivers who have raced in X30 have gone on to clinch impressive podium finishes in Macau and other international races.

Other drivers have progressed on to higher tiers of motorsports like Formula 4 and Formula Renault with similar results.

X30 SEA is overwhelmed to see such achievements from the karting community and is confident that greater things are yet to come.
